Q: CAN VELCRO® BRAND ONE-WRAP® DAMAGE NETWORK CABLES LIKE CAT6 OR FIBER OPTICS?
A: No, VELCRO® Brand ONE-WRAP® will not crush or damage sensitive data lines. Traditional plastic zip ties can easily be over-tightened, causing a pinch point that degrades signal integrity (attenuation) in Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic cables. ONE-WRAP® distribution avoids over-cinching, making it the industry standard for telecommunications, data centers, and broadcast studios.
Q: ARE THERE FIRE-RATED OR PLENUM-RATED VERSIONS OF ONE-WRAP® AVAILABLE?
A: Yes, for air-handling spaces, you must use the VELCRO® Brand ONE-WRAP® FR (Flame Retardant) version. The standard material is not fire-rated, but the specialized FR line is UL-rated (UL 94-V2) and meets NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for use in plenum spaces.
